Darrel Assink, the managing director of New Zealand Renovation Company, has over eight years of project management experience from working with the team at >A.J Builders and Developers Ltd. Darrel has been involved with new builds and renovation projects throughout his building career and has been exposed to a range of different building styles, from building architecturally designed homes to renovations of villas.
Darrel has a trade certificate in carpentry and he's a Licensed Building Practitioner in both carpentry and site 1, which is a certification in residential project management. He's also an accredited installer of Climateline Pre-finished Wall Linings (NZ made powder coated GIB board which utilises aluminium joiners for aesthetics).

Darrel has a passion for exploring new building techniques and using new building materials. When building his own home (which will be entered into this year's Master Builder Awards) he trialled powder coated wall linings, compressed cement board flooring and honed-stack masonry.
